Cooperstown, the home of Otsego Lake is the head waters to the Susquehanna River. The Susquehanna is the longest river on the east coast and the start of the Captain John Smith Water Trail. Otsego lake is glacial made, stretching 9 miles in length offering much to explore. Paddle south to Council Rock and the mouth of the river or paddle north towards King Fisher Tower.

Glimmerglass State Park is located at the north end of Otsego Lake, nicknamed Glimmlerglass for its crystalline waters, picturesque setting and breath taking views. Enjoy canoe, kayak and SUP rentals from the beach while at the state park. Paddle Hyde Bay or venture up shadow brook to Hyde Hall Covered Bridge, the oldest cover bridge in America.
